13/01/2018 Vacancy: Assistant Manager / Retail

New Vacancy:

We have an opening at the bakery for an exciting position within our front of house team as Assistant Manager with particular onus on bringing some expertise and experience in retailing to our small operation.

Day to day the job would involve:

- Working as part of the team to deliver excellent customer service both to those that come in to buy and take away as well as those that eat in
- Helping make hot drinks, prepare some of the food, take orders and serve customers (if you haven’t worked in a food business before however training can be provided)
- Responsible for the retail displays in the bakery, managing the stocks of products we make in house as well as the bakery kit and ingredients we buy in for retail. Offering tastings, marketing the offering through our social media network and driving sales.
- Some additional responsibilities to support the manager such as banking, rotas ordering, etc.

As mentioned above whilst we are a bakery/cafe we are looking for someone with that little bit of flair for retail. A passion for great, locally sourced and seasonal food is a must, but experience as a barista or working in a cafe as opposed to other retail environments isn’t.
